PORT HARCOURT—ALL Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has called on Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court, to retract his allegation of bribery levelled against Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi, within seven days or risk law suit. Chairman of the party, Mr Davies Ikanya, in a statement by his media aide, alleged that the bribery allegation by the apex court justice against Amaechi violated the Corrupt Practices and other Related Offence Act 2000. Meanwhile, Foundation for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Crusade, FHRACC, has demanded an immediate investigation into the allegation of attempted bribery made byJustice Okoro against Amaechi, and the APC governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Umana Umana. Also,  Centre for the Vulnerable and the Underprivileged, CENTREP, has slammed the Department of State Services, DSS, and the Nigeria Police over the invasion of the private residences of seven serving judges across the country, describing same as ridiculous and an attempt to rubbish the judiciary. FHRACC, yesterday, in a statement by its National President, Alaowie Cleric, said: “Maintaining a graveyard silence on these serious allegations while judges’ homes are unconstitutionally invaded in the name of anti-corruption war, will put a question mark on the sincerity of the Federal Government’s mission. This is a test case for the government to purge itself of the allegations of bias and selective anti-corruption fight. “Now that the government has declared a total war on corruption, we charge Mr. President to beam his searchlight on some of his appointees with priority attention given to the N500 million MTN Nigeria bribery allegations against the Chief of Staff and the N270 million scam against Secretary to the Government of the Federation.”
