By Emmanuel Okogba It was all too easy for Paris Saint-Germain as they saw off Spanish giant Barcelona in their first leg round of 16 tie 4-0. Barca was a shadow of themselves from start to finish even as the dreaded ‘MSN’ (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) failed to come to the party with their goal-scoring boots. Paris Saint-Germain’s Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani celebrates after scoring a goal during the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg football match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona on February 14, 2017 at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris. / AFP PHOTO A fine unstoppable free-kick from Angel Di-Maria in the 18th minute left Barca’s goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen rooted to the spot to open the floodgate. Di-Maria will go on to add another to his tally for the night only after German international Julian Draxler doubled the scoreline for the home team five minutes shy of the half-time break. Edison Cavani made it 4-0 in the 71st minute making it more than a mountain for Barcelona to climb when both teams meet for the reverse fixture in three weeks time. Barcelona had come out victorious three times in the last five meetings between both teams, drawing one and losing the other. The win sees PSG, barring any miracle, having a firm foot already in the quarter-finals.
