Leaked letter: Nobody should accuse Buhari of fraud - Kachikwu breaks silence

Kachikwu said his leaked letter
on governance issues at the NNPC has
been misunderstood to a large extent
- Speaking for the first time about
President Buhari’s response to the
letter, Kachikwu said the content of
the letter did not bother on fraud but
on governance
- Kachikwu in his letter, had accused
NNPC group managing director,
Maikanti Baru, of insurbodination
and failure to follow due process
- He said the president has urged the
two of them to find ways of working
together to remove doubt and rift
The minister of state for petroleum
resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has revealed
what President Muhammadu Buhari
told him about the controversial memo
he wrote on the group managing
director of the Nigeria National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC),
Maikanti Baru.
Speaking at Owerri, Imo state at the
end of a three-day Nigerian Content
Workshop organised by the Nigerian
Content Development and Monitoring
Board, Kachikwu said the content of his
letter has been largely misunderstood.
He said the content of his letter did not
border on fraud but on governance,
