Argentina Re-jigs List For Friendly Against Nigeria

ARGENTINA coach Jorge Sampaoli has
reworked his list for the friendly against
Russia and Nigeria on November 14 in
Russia, by handing a late call up to Zenit
Saint Petersburg defender Emanuel
Mammana.

This followed the withdrawal of Sevilla’s
Gabriel Mercedo who did not play
against Barcelona yesterday due to a
hamstring injury.
‘’Mercado will not travel to Argentina
with his national squad, but instead, will
stay put in Sevilla as he attempts to
recover in time for the next league
game against Celta Vigo on the 18th of
November.
‘’What happens will depend on any
progress made by the player in the
coming days.’’ Sevilla stated on their

Former Watford star Odion Ighalo has
also withdrawn from the Nigeria squad
after spraining his knee in his club’s last
league match.
